Ever since I started travelling 5 years ago, I have wanted to create postcard-sized prints of things that caught my attention whilst on the road. When I went to Tokyo at the end of last year, I finally picked up some blank postcards to experiment with. One of my new years' resolutions was to paint one postcard a week. Although this resolution was probably a bit too ambitious, I will keep experimenting and posting my results in The Print Studio.
My very first postcard is based on a box of oranges I walked past whilst at Tsukiji Market at the end of last year. Everything in Japan always look aesthetically pleasing (in an effortless way), including the unremoved stems and leaves of these oranges.
